Payroll Giving FAQ's

Q: What is Payroll Giving?

A: By enrolling in Payroll Giving, Team BRANDT employees can make tax-deductible donations to The BRANDT Foundation straight from their paychecks. This is a great way to maximize the impact of your donation!

Q: Why should I enroll in Payroll Giving?

A: For more than 10 years, The BRANDT Foundation has been giving back to the communities where we do business. By enrolling in Payroll Giving, you will be directly giving back to these same communities.

Q: Who is eligible to enroll in payroll giving?

A: All Team BRANDT employees are eligible to enroll in payroll giving.

Q: How does payroll giving work?

A: Payroll giving is an easy way to make a reoccurring gift to The BRANDT Foundation. When you enroll in payroll giving, your gift is automatically deducted from your paycheck each pay period.

Q: How much should I give?

A: Participating as an employee donor is completely voluntary. Every gift has an impact, no matter the size. The BRANDT Foundation offers two options to give: Payroll giving and one-time online donations.

Q: How is the money from my payroll giving used?

A: The BRANDT Foundation’s mission is to provide meaningful assistance and support to the communities, farms and families where we do business. Our funding priorities include Agriculture Education, Food or Farming Charities, and Human & Health services. You can view more information about our funding priorities HERE>.

Q: Can I suggest a charity or organization to receive a grant or donation from The BRANDT Foundation?

A: Yes! If you have a charity or organization that meets The BRANDT Foundation’s giving eligibility, you can direct them to apply for a grant HERE>.

Q: Is payroll giving anonymous?

A: Yes. Outside the personnel required to process your payroll giving enrollment, your recurring gift will remain anonymous.

Q: Can I adjust or stop my payroll giving?

A: Yes. Visit thebrandtfoundation.org/managededuction at any time to adjust or stop your automatic payroll deductions. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your adjustment to process. The changes you make will take effect the following pay period from when your adjustment is processed.

Q: Where can I find my total contributions for the year when I am filing my tax returns?

A: Your last paycheck of the year for which your filing will contain your total contributions for that year. The BRANDT Foundation will also email you a tax receipt with your total contributions in January.

A: If you have more questions about payroll giving or need any additional information, you can email foundation@brandt.co.

Q: Can I deduct my donations on my taxes?

A: All donations to The BRANDT Foundation are tax-deductible. It is best to consult your tax preparer for further advice.

Make a one-time donation, of any amount, to The BRANDT Foundation. BRANDT will match all donations, up to $500 per employee, per year, made via PayPal online.
